ML Data Scientist

The work

Halcer is hiring an ML Data Scientist for production-oriented modelling — experimentation readouts, forecasting, and decision-support models with documented limitations. Work stays anonymised: no client brands, no user identifiers in public artefacts.

You will

• Design and analyse A/B and quasi-experimental studies with explicit power and confounding caveats
• Build forecasting and segmentation models where interpretability and monitoring matter as much as offline accuracy
• Partner with data engineering on feature freshness, lineage, and reproducible training snapshots
• Translate model outputs into metrics product and delivery teams can act on — not vanity dashboards

You likely have

• 5+ years in applied data science or ML with shipped models in production contexts
• Strong Python, SQL, and statistical reasoning; comfort saying when a causal claim is not justified
• Experience collaborating with platform teams on feature stores or warehouse-native ML workflows
• Clear writing on assumptions, drift risk, and what would invalidate a recommendation
